Sheriff's Civil Office

The Civil Enforcement Unit is located along with other administrative offices at the Sheriff's Office Headquarters located at the Albany County Courthouse in downtown Albany, New York.
The civil unit is comprised of both sworn and civilian members who are responsible for processing and enforcing court orders in civil actions. Civil actions processed include the service of summons and complaints, execution of civil warrants, serving subpoenas, executing orders of seizures, property executions, income executions and evictions.

The Civil Office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00pm. All cash payments must be processed no later than 4:30pm. The Civil Office can be contacted by calling (518) 487-5400 or faxing (518) 487-5352
