Truss Bridge over the Normans Kill The proposed Rail Trail project will convert a nine-mile stretch of the old Delaware & Hudson (D&H) Railroad between the Port of Albany and Voorheesville to a public recreational trail.

Once completed, the Rail Trail would link municipalities along a safe and accessible pedestrian and bicycle route.

The trail will be a great asset for Albany County residents and visitors, adding tremendously to the quality of life in our region.

The many benefits of Rail Trails include preservation of open space, community linkages, opportunities for physical fitness and to enjoy the outdoors and increased property values for surrounding communities.
