Albany County Recognizes Immigrants Who Served During World War II

Albany County is honoring twin brothers who served our country with pride and honor. Join Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy in honoring veterans Thomas J. Skelly and John J. Skelly, on Monday, October 2 at 8:30am. Their military records were destroyed in a fire at the Pentagon but some historic information was retrieved about the service of these brave Irish Immigrants during World War II.

McCoy will be joined by Congressman Paul Tonko and the Albany County Veterans Service Bureau for the Albany County Honor-A-Veteran Ceremony at Joseph E. Zaloga Post at 4 Everett Rd in Albany.

Albany County honors a deceased veteran for their service to our country and our county. The ceremony is held the first Monday of each month.
