County Executive McCoy Recognizes Youngest Citizen of the Month for Helping Feed the Hungry

Posted: Thursday, September 19, 2019 3:45 PM

Monday mornings this summer for a five-year old Albany boy included making sandwiches with his aunt and delivering them to a local non-profit to help feed the homeless. That effort resulted in thousands of sandwiches for those who needed them and set a wonderful example for others.

Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy will honor Malachi Houze on Tuesday, September 24 at 10am at Albany’s Brighter Choice Charter School for Boys at 116 N Lake Avenue in Albany. He will be joined by Malachi’s aunt, his classmates, school leaders and Joseph’s House and Shelter. (Malachi doesn’t know he is getting this award).

Limited parking, if available, is in the school’s lot behind the building, as well as on the Sherman Street side or metered parking on N Lake Ave.
