Committee Assignments: Law, Social Services and Health

Justin Corcoran was elected to his first term in the Albany County Legislature's 9th District in the November 2011 election. The Legislative District is made up of parts of the City of Albany and the Town of Bethlehem.

Justin has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1995 with the Albany law firm of O'Connor, O'Connor, Bresee & First, PC. His previous public service includes acting by appointment of Albany County Court as a special prosecutor; past chairman of the Albany County Ethics Commission; and serving as a hearing officer appointed by the Albany County Health Commissioner to adjudicate cases involving violations of the public health law.

Justin graduated from Voorheesville H.S and he received a BA in political science from SUNY Binghamton in 1990. He received a JD degree from Albany Law School, where he was a member of the Albany Law Review.

Active in community affairs, he is a member of the Albany Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Whitehall Neighborhood Association, and the Albany County Bar Association.
