Albany County Participating in Great American Smokeout

Albany County has had a large turnout so far today in its effort to help those who want to quit smoking to do that today.  It's the Great American Smokeout and Albany County has partnered with The Center for Smoking Cessation at Seton Health St. Peter's Health Partners.

"I strongly encourage all employees and anyone who smokes to take advantages of this great opportunity to get valuable information, counseling, and nicotine replacement therapy that will get you prepared to quit smoking for one day, and possibly for good, beginning today," said Albany County Executive Daniel McCoy. 

Counselors will be available until 4 p.m. at the Albany County Health Department's main lobby at 175 Green Street.
