Property Tax Exemptions for Veterans and Gold Star Parents

Eligible property owners applying for the first time must file an exemption application with their local assessor by March 1 to qualify in the current year. If you are already receiving the property tax exemption, local assessors will automatically adjust the levels when necessary to reflect any changes to your exemption caused by new legislation, assessments, and equalization rates. You will need to file a new application if your disability rating has changed or if you've moved from another County.
