Adult Forensic Services

The Mental Health Unit provides services to the seriously mentally ill client who is incarcerated, as well as psychiatric evaluation and consultation to the courts.

 
Adult Treatment Clinic

The Adult Treatment Clinic is designed to provide comprehensive mental health treatment to the seriously mentally ill residents of Albany County.

 
Albany County Assertive Community Treatment Program (ACT)
The Assertive Community Treatment program (ACT), implemented by the Albany County Department of Mental Health, is the first such program in the state to be licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health. With a unique and comprehensive approach to treatment, ACT has been developed to serve high need, high priority individuals of Albany County whose needs have not been well met by more traditonal forms of service delivery.
 
CART Mobile Crisis

CART Mobile Crisis offers 24 hour, 7 days a week availability of mobile response to individuals experiencing a psychiatric emergency throughout Albany County.

 
Children's Services

The Crisis Intake and Crisis Stabilization Intervention Units respond to the needs of children by providing emergency evaluation and triage services.

 
Community Assessment and Referral Team (CART)

CART is a clinical case management and treatment program of the Albany County Department of Mental Health (ACDMH). 

 
Community Services Board

Community residents who have an interest in services for the mentally disabled are welcome to attend meetings of the Community Services Board and its three subcommittees on Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (MRDD), and Alcoholism and Substance Abuse.

 
Intensive Case Management

A freestanding program that provides services to seriously mentally ill adults.

 
Substance Abuse Services

Provides comprehensive medically supervised outpatient services to individuals of all ages.

 
The Albany County Mental Retardation/Developmental Disability (MRDD) Committee

The Albany County Mental Retardation/Developmental Disability (MRDD) Committee in partnership with the Albany County Department of Mental Health and the Capital District Developmental Disabilities Service Organization.
