Recreation Programs

Albany Girls Club - After School Program
Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Structured, recreational program for 125 girls from low income and/or single-parent families, ages 6-14, offered on an after school basis. Program activities include: tutoring, social education, community oriented activities, physical fitness. Programming offered at 25 Western Avenue and Grace and Holy Innocents Church, 20 Robin Street.

Albany Youth Basketball Program, Inc. - Instructional Basketball
Call for various times and locations: (518) 438-2093

Program will provide a positive and structured environment for youth to engage in activities that promote learning, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Green Island Recreation Department - Village of Green Island
Call for hours: (518) 273-2201

Agency will provide structured activities, athletic competition and creative leisure opportunities to village youth that will provide a means for personal, physical, mental and social development.

Trinity Institution, Inc. - Homer Perkins Center
Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Agency will administer an after school program for economically disadvantaged youth from one-parent families residing in the South End. Project will offer arts and crafts, gym activities, educational support services and weekly field trips. Agency will also provide administrative and staff support for the Arbor Hill Community Center.

Watervliet Civic Center, Inc. - Recreation Program
Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Saturday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Agency offers a comprehensive recreation program for youth ages 8-18 that include: gym games, table games, weight lifting, basketball, ceramics and physical fitness activities, and special events. The program helps youth to develop skills and character.
