C-SPAN Highlights Albany
C-SPAN's 2012 Cities Tour takes Book TV and American History TV on the road. On the first weekend of each month, C-SPAN features the literary life and history of each of these selected cities. Albany was featured on December 8-9, 2012.
A specially outfitted Local Content Vehicle (LCV) visits literary and historic sites as C-SPAN interviews local historians, authors and civic leaders. They also meet with students, teachers, elected officials, and organizations to talk about C-SPAN's mission in covering public affairs programming, and what the local connections are to national politics.
