Changes in expiration dates will only be made after a card has expired, and when an individual recertifies by presenting appropriate identification and documentation to verify continued approval for the program.
PROOF OF IDENTITY AND COUNTY OF RESIDENCE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL CARDS
For a Senior CDTA Half Fare ID card (65+): Proof of date of birth is required.
For a Disabled CDTA Half Fare ID card: Proof of receipt of SSI or SSD, or for recipients of Veterans Disability, a letter from the VA which states their status as a disabled veteran is required. Also, a letter from CDTA approving a person for a Reduced Fare ID card can be accepted.
STAR ID card: CDTA certification letter is required.
Note: If a person is working with a program such as VESID, ARC, MS, or the Northeastern Association for the Blind, they can apply for approval for the Half Fare ID card through their program.
