Albany County Sets Announcement and Tour of Lawson Lake County Park for 2014 Summer Season
July 03, 2014
In 2013 Albany County officially reopened Lawson Lake County Park for the summer and this year hundreds of youngsters will be able to take full advantage of the 420-acre park located on the border of New Scotland and Coeymans.
Over the last two years, Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy, Chairman of the Albany County Legislature Shawn Morse, Albany County District Attorney P. David Soares and Albany County Sheriff Craig D. Apple Sr. have all worked together to bring the park to life and to engage volunteers to make badly needed repairs to re-open the park.
This year hundreds of youngsters will take advantage of summer camp at the park and to kick off the season, county officials will host a news conference and tour of the park to show how much work has been done. Join the County Executive, Chairman Morse, county leaders and a host of community partners as the latest park renovations are unveiled. The news conference will be held on Monday, July 7 at 1 p.m. in the Waldman Lodge at the Lawson Lake County Park in Feura Bush.
