JCAB: Offering a restorative approach juvenile crime

Posted: Wednesday, January 30, 2019 3:07 PM

The Albany County Department of Probation is offering a volunteer training session for those interested in joining the Juvenile Community Accountability Board (JCAB).

The JCAB program seeks to help juveniles understand the impact crime has on the community, and allow them an opportunity to repair harm. Volunteer JCAB members are trained to facilitate meetings with the juvenile, their parents and the victim (if they choose to attend).

We are offering a full-day training event for new volunteers:

Saturday, April 27, 2019
9:00am–4:00pm
