Boy Scout Troop 2 Camp at the Lake

Boy Scout Troop 2, Sponsored by St Andrews Episcopal Church in Albany, camped at the Lawson Lake County Park.

Scoutmaster Bob Conklin and Assistant Scoutmaster Paul Miller lead the group spending a weekend at Lawson Lake County Park.

The Scouts Armand Van Nordstrand, Steven Matthews, Gabriel Freeman and Jared Mereday participated in many events throughout the weekend. They cooked meals in the Main Lodge on the west side of Lawson Lake Road and their activities included instruction on the use of the compass, how to calculate your walking pace when determining distance traveled, and reviewing knots.

The contingent hiked around the portion of the park on the east side of Lawson Lake Road and the youth enjoyed recreational time in the snow.
