Return the FAVOR (Find & Assist Vets of Record) is a merchant discount
program for eligible Albany County veterans. The program provides veterans with
a discount on purchases or services at participating merchants.

Veterans…
Qualifying veterans will receive a photo ID card provided by the County, identifying them as honorably discharged veterans. Participating merchants agree to honor the card by providing the cardholder with a discount on goods or services. Military active duty ID cards and retiree ID cards will also be honored.

Veterans can enroll by bringing a completed application and their DD Form 214 to the Albany County Veterans Bureau on the 7th Floor, 162 Washington Ave, Albany, New York 12210 Monday through Friday 9:00am to noon.
To qualify, a veteran must come to the Veterans Bureau office to file their DD Form 214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty), which will then be recorded at the County Clerk's Office. The discharge must be honorable to participate in the program. At that time, a Veterans Service Bureau employee can answer questions and provide information regarding a large range of veterans program and services.
The program is a joint project of the Albany County Clerk's Office and the Albany County Veterans Bureau as a way to recognize and say thank you to Albany County's nearly 20,000 veterans.
