Dining with Diabetes, a four-part series to help people prepare healthy and delicious meals, will be offered at two locations. Sessions will include demonstrations on how to cook with less fat, salt and sugar without cutting taste. There will be an opportunity to taste a variety of main dishes, side dishes and desserts. Anyone over 60 is welcome to attend, and transportation is available. There is no charge, but pre-registration is required at both sites.
This series will also be hosted by Westview Senior Center, 680 Central Avenue, Albany, on Mondays from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on December 9, 16, 23, and 30, with an hour break for lunch from 11:30 – 12:30 pm when a congregate lunch.

Dining with Diabetes is sponsored by Albany County Department for Aging and Cornell Cooperative Extension Albany County. It will be facilitated by an experienced registered dietitian. The curriculum is popular and well-tested, and has been successful nationally in helping people improve control of diabetes and enjoy healthier meals.
