Charter Review Commission Seeks Public Comment at Guilderland Justice Court on December 11th
The Albany County Charter Review Commission (“Commission”) was established to evaluate and review the Albany County Charter (“Charter”), which has been in place since 1976. The Commission is charged with considering and recommending potential changes to the Charter to improve efficiency, performance and, accountability. The Commission is composed of 11 volunteer County residents appointed by the County Legislature.
On December 11, 2013, the Commission will convene at Guilderland Town Court from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. During the meeting, the Commission welcomes any and all public comment on the County Charter, including possible amendments and revisions. Persons wishing to make oral presentations to the Commission at this meeting should advise the Commission’s Vice-Chair, Willow Baer, by e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) or telephone (518.605.5527). Oral presentations are limited to 10 minutes each. The public is also invited to submit any written comments to the Commission by December 11, 2013 at 8:30 p.m. In order to further publicize this meeting, please inform interested parties and organizations of the Commission’s interest in hearing from all sources.
